 Injection contains Ceftriaxone 1000 mg, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat a wide range of serious bacterial infections. It is administered by a healthcare professional either intravenously (IV) or intramuscularly (IM).
Dosage form: Sterile powder for injection.

Mechanism of ActionCeftriaxone works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to the death of susceptible bacteria. It is effective against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms.
RiAXOL is commonly prescribed for:

• Pneumonia and lower respiratory tract infections
• Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
• Septicemia (bloodstream infections)
• Meningitis
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Bone and joint infections
• Intra-abdominal infections
• Gonorrhea and certain other bacterial infections
• Surgical infection prophylaxis (prevention of infection before surgery)
